Feature Lifecycle

The lifecycle of a feature begins with ticket submission and follows a flow of prioritization, planning, development, and production deployment.

Key Steps for Features

  1. Ticketing & Submission

    • Feature requests are submitted by internal teams or external partners.
  2. Backlog Review & Prioritization (every 2 weeks)

    • The team decides to accept, postpone, or reject the feature request.
  3. Roadmap Integration & PI Planning (every 3 months)

    • Accepted features are added to the roadmap and detailed during PI Planning.
  4. Sprint Execution

    • Features are assigned to sprints, where they are developed, tested, and refined.
  5. Release & Post-Release Review

    • Once ready, features are deployed to production and undergo a post-release review.
  6. Rework / Loop Back

    • If they are not ready, features are either carried over to the next sprint (low complexity) or deferred to the next PI cycle (high complexity).
