Step 1: Download the Plugin​

  1. Log into your AI SmartTalk account.
  2. Navigate to the Integration section of the back office.
  3. Locate the PrestaShop plugin zip file and download it to your computer.

Step 2: Install the Plugin​

  1. Log in to your PrestaShop dashboard.
  2. Go to the Modules and Services section.
  3. Click on Add a module at the top right of the page.
  4. Choose the zip file you downloaded in Step 1 and upload it.
  5. Once the upload is complete, install the module by clicking on Install.
  6. After the installation is complete, activate the plugin by clicking on Activate the module.

Step 3: Configure the Plugin​

  1. After activation, go to the Configuration section of the AI SmartTalk module in your PrestaShop dashboard.
  2. You will need two crucial pieces of information to configure the plugin: the Chat Model ID and the Chat Model Token.
  3. These details can be found in the Integration section of your AI SmartTalk account.
  4. Enter these details in the corresponding fields on the module configuration page and save the changes.

Step 4: Activate and Customize the Chatbot​

  1. Once the plugin is configured, you can preview and test the chatbot directly from the PrestaShop back office.
  2. To activate the chatbot on your site, change the Enable Chatbot setting to true.
  3. You also have the option to choose a theme for the chatbot interface, such as Dark Mode, to better match the design of your site.

  • Ensure that you are uploading the correct zip file downloaded from the AI SmartTalk Integration section.
  • Verify that your PrestaShop installation meets the plugin requirements (e.g., PHP version).
